How is my order shipped?

Ovens ship via LTL (less than truckload) freight with a flat fee of $199. The carrier will call ahead to schedule delivery, including a residential lift gate.
Accessories ship via UPS Ground, sometimes in multiple boxes for safe transport. Order accessories with your oven to avoid additional shipping costs, as they are included in the $199 shipping fee.

What is the average delivery time?

In-stock items typically ship within 2–3 business days and arrive within 2–10 business days, depending on your location in the contiguous U.S.
Out-of-stock items that are pre-ordered typically ship within 2–3 business days after arriving at our warehouse. For an estimated ship date on any out-of-stock oven you're interested in, please visit our Preorder page.

What do I need to do when my oven is delivered?

A signature is required upon delivery. The freight carrier will call ahead to schedule the delivery. You will need a few extra hands to help move the oven to your desired location.
Before signing, inspect all boxes for damage or missing items. Note any concerns on the bill of lading and take photos. If no damage is found, sign the receipt.
If you notice any issues, please report them within 5 business days by calling (877) 842-9822 or emailing support@fontanaovens.com with pictures. Claims after this period cannot be covered.

It takes a few tries to learn how to get the venting just right but once you figure it out its just super easy. Use good quality hardwood and keep feeding the flames. I also have the saputo stones which contribute to having higher heat temperatures. I am a taller person 6ft so I added the extension riser which helps me see better and I dont need to bend over as much. The shelf add on's are nice too. Keep in mind the cover will not fit with the shelves attached. They can be removed fairly easy. Very happy and highly recommend Fontana."

"I originally hand built a wood fired oven. Two mistakes. I installed the chimney in the back of the oven and I made it too large. Took forever to heat up. Wasted a lot of firewood. This Fontana oven is a dream. It arrived in a bullet proof wooden crate. Assembly was a breeze. Started with small tempering fires. It heats up in 20-30 minutes and burns beautifully. Q&A

Is there a minimum or reccomended clearance from the top of the chimney to combustible? We are installing this pizza oven in an outdoor kitchen with a covered roof and are wondering if we need to vent the chimney through the roof.: Our ovens are designed specifically for use under open sky conditions. Operating them under a roof or patio covering is not recommended, as it may result in smoke discoloration on the ceiling surface. If installing near a roof or overhang, we recommend maintaining at least 3-4 feet of clearance from the chimney cap for gas-fired ovens and at least 6 feet for wood-fired ovens. If you wish to install a chimney through a roof, some customers with wood-fired ovens have successfully done so using custom-length chimneys.
Can this oven be used on a mobile trailer?: We have had some customers buy our ovens and install them into a trailer successfully for a mobile pizza oven business / catering application.

Fontana's wood-fired ovens are constructed using 2.5 millimeter 441 (interior) & 304 (exterior) stainless steel, 12 centimeter thick insulation, and corrosion-resistant, powder-coated metal.
