Vickye's SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE baked in the Fontana wood-fired oven

Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes (3 1/2 cups total when cooked)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Topping:

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup butter crumbled
  • 3/4 cup pecans or walnuts (optional)

Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.

Preheat the wood-fired oven to 350°-375°F.

Thoroughly wash and peel the sweet potatoes.
